Compassionate Care. Comprehensive Evaluation. Personalized Medicine.
Welcome to Surviving EBV.
I’m Dr. Sarah Teodorski, a licensed Naturopathic Medical Doctor and the Medical Director of Haus of Health in Scottsdale, Arizona.
Throughout my career, I’ve cared for patients whose symptoms couldn’t be explained by a single diagnosis or a single laboratory test. Many have spent months—or even years—searching for answers after developing persistent fatigue, brain fog, recurrent infections, or other health concerns following a viral illness.
My philosophy is simple:
Every patient deserves to be heard, every symptom deserves thoughtful evaluation, and every treatment plan should be personalized.
That belief is the foundation of both my clinical practice and Surviving EBV.
My Clinical Philosophy
Medicine is about more than diagnosing disease.
It’s about understanding the unique story behind every patient.
When someone comes to my office, I don’t begin by asking, “What diagnosis do you have?”
I begin by asking:
“Tell me what you’ve been experiencing.”
Persistent symptoms often have more than one contributing factor. While Epstein-Barr virus may be part of the picture for some patients, nutrition, sleep, hormones, medications, other medical conditions, environmental exposures, and lifestyle can all influence how someone feels.
My goal is to evaluate the complete picture so we can make informed decisions together.
Why I Created Surviving EBV
Over the years, I’ve met countless patients who felt confused after receiving their EBV laboratory results.
Some had been told that a positive antibody test explained every symptom they experienced.
Others were told their laboratory results were “normal,” despite continuing to struggle with fatigue, cognitive changes, or other concerns.
These experiences highlighted the need for clear, balanced, evidence-informed education.
Surviving EBV was created to provide patients with trusted information about Epstein-Barr virus, post-viral recovery, immune health, and comprehensive medical evaluation.
Our goal is to replace uncertainty with understanding and to help patients make informed decisions about their care.
My Areas of Clinical Interest
My practice includes patients seeking evaluation for:
- Epstein-Barr virus (EBV)
- Post-viral recovery
- Persistent fatigue
- Brain fog and cognitive concerns
- Immune health
- Functional medicine
- Nutritional optimization
- Hormonal health
- Preventive medicine
- Chronic, medically complex symptoms
Every patient receives an individualized evaluation designed around their unique medical history, goals, and overall health.
My Approach to Patient Care
At Haus of Health, I use a structured process to guide each patient’s care.
Listen
Every visit begins with understanding your history, your concerns, and your goals.
Evaluate
Your symptoms, physical examination, laboratory findings, and previous medical records are reviewed carefully. When additional testing is appropriate, recommendations are based on your individual clinical situation.
Personalize
No two treatment plans are exactly alike.
Recommendations are tailored to your needs and may include lifestyle changes, nutrition, targeted medical therapies, IV therapies, or other integrative approaches when clinically appropriate.
Support
Healing rarely happens overnight.
My team and I partner with patients over time, monitoring progress, adjusting treatment plans, and helping patients navigate each stage of recovery.
What You Can Expect as a Patient
When you become a patient at Haus of Health, you can expect:
- A comprehensive medical evaluation
- Time to discuss your concerns
- Careful review of laboratory results
- Personalized treatment recommendations
- Shared decision-making
- Education about your condition
- Ongoing follow-up and support
My goal is to ensure every patient understands not only what we recommend, but why.
A Commitment to Evidence-Informed Care
Medicine is constantly evolving.
New research continues to improve our understanding of Epstein-Barr virus, immune function, post-viral recovery, and chronic illness.
I believe patients deserve care that is both compassionate and grounded in current scientific knowledge.
When evidence is strong, I rely on it.
When evidence is still emerging, I discuss what is known, what remains uncertain, and how that information may or may not apply to your individual situation.
This approach allows us to make thoughtful, informed decisions together.
Education Is Part of Healing
One of the most important parts of my practice is helping patients understand their health.
That is why Surviving EBV offers physician-reviewed educational resources covering topics such as:
- Understanding Epstein-Barr virus
- Acute infection
- EBV reactivation
- Laboratory testing
- Chronic fatigue
- Autoimmune disease
- Immune health
- Recovery strategies
An informed patient is better equipped to participate in their own care.
Care That Looks Beyond a Diagnosis
Many patients arrive believing that one laboratory result explains everything they are experiencing.
Sometimes it does not.
My responsibility is to look beyond a diagnosis and ask:
- What else could be contributing?
- Are there nutritional deficiencies?
- Could another medical condition explain these symptoms?
- Are lifestyle factors playing a role?
- Is there an opportunity to improve overall health?
By asking these questions, we can build a treatment plan that addresses the whole person rather than a single test result.
Dr. T’s Promise
“When you come to my office, I want you to feel heard, respected, and understood. My goal is not simply to review laboratory tests—it’s to understand your story, answer your questions honestly, and work with you to create a personalized plan that supports your long-term health. Every patient deserves compassionate care, thoughtful evaluation, and the time to be truly listened to.”
